Georgia Piedmont Technical College is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Newton campus. In the fall of 1997, the doors opened on the $8.9 million campus, which was the first public post-secondary college in Newton County. The Newton20 celebration will take place on October 2, 2017.

The Newton Campus Building D and Conference Center is located at 8100 Bob Williams Parkway, Covington and serves Rockdale, Newton and Morgan counties. Its programs are geared towards a variety of students seeking degrees, certifications, and GED diplomas. Program areas include accounting, banking and finance, business administration, criminal justice, electrical control systems, industrial systems, and practical nursing, among others.

A unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, Georgia Piedmont Technical College is committed to preparing students for successful careers and maximizing student success.
